Garage Sale with the Garage Sale Diva!

As we approach the opening of the new location there is so much going on and so much to share!  This week I've been helping our friend the Garage Sale Diva aka Cindy with her annual Garage Sale.  This lady knows how to put on a SALE!

Check out some of the goodies that are still available...I tried to cram it all in my car but I thought I'd better leave some for everyone else!

And all these lovelies are for sale at the Garage Sale Diva's Place.  Who is she?  She's a little camera shy!  But she is surely one of our best finds EVER!  We are so pleased to announce that Cindy will be joining the Simply Bungalow Team.  She's got an eye for treasures, a knack for deals and is truly the most wonderful friend we could imagine!  

So with our new place, our new (and bigger) space we will also have a new face!  Some of our customers have already had the pleasure of meeting her but if you haven't then stop on by for our GRAND Re-OPENING on Saturday, May 7th at 2295 South 48th Street, Lincoln, NE 68506.  We'll all be there we hope you will be too!

All Little of This a Little of That...

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.  Mine was full of egg hunts, children buzzing from sugar overload and lots of family fun.  The beautiful weather was such a treat!  And now the rain is falling again....at least it'll be good for the garden!

The flowers love the rain but I've had enough!  Bring on the warm weather.

When One Door Closes, Another Door Opens

My last post left some unanswered questions that I thought it might be time to answer.

NO!...We are not going out of business.  We were recently faced with not having the lease renewed at our current location.  We were taken completely by surprise.  But since life often throws curves balls we decided to just roll with.  

And as luck would have it "when one door closes, another door opens..."

And we just couldn't be more thrilled with our new location!

(even though it needs a little work...)

Our space has TRIPLED! Yes, it's daunting...

See the deep reddish color...the whole room was that color!  And in order to make it feel more like a cottage we decided we wanted to make it a buttery yellow.

Thanks to an amazing friend and painter this beautiful color now graces the walls....MUCH BETTER!

Now on to the WALLPAPER!!!

It took some doing but we did manage to peel away the very "vintage" wallpaper.

Next step?!....You'll have to wait and see!

Linens In Bloom...

Spring has finally arrived here in the Midwest and I am so enjoying the beautiful weather.  Flowers, flowers everywhere...

I haven't had time to fill my garden with flowers yet so these Lavender sachets made from vintage linens will have to fill my house with wonderful smells until I have a time to get my hands in the dirt!

Lightening the Load...

I've had quite a full plate lately.  What's the saying..."when it rains it pours?"  Well it's been flooding around here!  So, without boring you with tales of my hair pulling crazy making times I thought I'd just skip to the rainbow after the rain!

After lots of soul searching and hours of quiet contemplation (yeah right who am I kidding! I have a 3 year old I have no time for quiet contemplation!)

There are some big changes on the horizon for our little "Bungalow"...

I can't share all the details right now but I can give you some hints!

Time is of the essence and I'm not sure if it's on our side as we embark on this journey!

But part of our plan includes lightening the load...

What does this mean...well SALE of course!
